I tried the alpha channel thing, but i didn't work. I can't seem to isolate the jar (clear) from the lid (opaque). I also tried to use the my.alpha and the my.transparent, again, it effects the whole model not just the glassy parts. is there any other suggestions.

maybe it can't be done. after all i haven't seen any examples of it in any of the demo i downloaded. If it's not possible i would like to know also.
