the installation worked perfectly fine for me. as already mentioned by towelie, the destination folder isn't exchangeable.
i got windows xp, 768 mb ram, amd processor with 2,08 ghz, ati radeon 9800 pro (128 mb i think)

in the game, i noticed that strafing right was (sometimes?) faster than normal walking. also, when i passed the fence at the registration office, i couldn't look around anymore using the mouse. but when i went back and passed it again it worked.
