lol, Well if your not into making games or at least something on them lines.Then no its probally not. Honestly im sure alot of people buy 3dgs with huge plans then after they realize that its not likley to create the next (insert title here) they give up shortly and 3dgs ends up collecting dust and taking up room on their hds.
Theres a lot to learn if you plan to use 3dgs and hardly anyone masters all aspects of it.
Im curious as to where you obtained you copy of 3dgs tho? As far as I know programming in 6 days doesnt come with the new copy of gs.
My suggestion is to download the demo from the demo page and play around with that for awhile before making your desicion... Check out the other tutorials suggested above as well but be forewarned if you dont want or have time to learn to use it then its not likley worth spending money on. Just my opinion mind you.
