I am in need of a talented artist to do a character concept. I currently have a model and old concept art but I am looking to overhaul this old design for something that looks more like the characters from today's games. The concept you make will be used for creating the 3d model for my game project. If you have the talent and the skills to create something special then plase contact me via MSN or email me. My email address is vectorman4u@yahoo.com and my MSN contact is gamesaint77@lycos.com

When contacting me I will need to see samples of previous works. Please email me links and or an archived file. The artist that is hired will also have the chance to do other work for the game as well. Payments are made through Pay-Pal, we will negotiate price when we make contact.

Look forward to seeing your portfolios. Thanks, GS out.

I'm sorry but I must do this: Maybe 'commonsense' to the nth power should be used when dealing with the entity Gamesaint762. If you actually want to be paid for your work, I highly recommend that you receive payment before giving Gamesaint762 your work, otherwise, if given the option, Gamesaint762 may accept your work but refuse to pay you. Here I am merely making a reference to experience and offering a warning. I do not wish to needlessly tarnish reputations. Again, this is probably commonsense to some degree, but in this case particularly, 'good faith' transfers should probably be avoided. (Of course, it is entirely possible that the instance in memory that I am referring to, the instance where I dealt with Gamesaint762, is the exception and not the rule.)

And when dealing with coders like Test Dummy you should actually get him to give you code that works. I may be wrong but the agreement was made with the assumption that I would get working code. You need to move on and stop trying to bash me. I have been around way longer than most but have never had a problem with anyone but you. You have hijacked several of my threads and made your peace known. Now Its just getting old.... GS out.

@t4d: Do you have any concept art? Like character concept art or sketches, or do you only make 3D models and stills?
Contractors probably want to see a concept first before giving green light for the model and I don't see any concept art of those models at all ... It's no critics, your stuff on cgtalk looks sweet, but I hope you'll get my point,

Cheers

Although I did not intend to 'tarnish' character or reputations in this particular thread, given my history with your identity, a false turn about or reversal, maybe even the construction of invalid claims, may seem to be considered 'fair game' by you and may be very much expected from someone such as you.

If I recall correctly, at the time you were allowed to test the code and after it seemed that you did so, you gave indications that you would provide compensation. Even months later, you nearly seemed to 'swear' that you would make payments when you were able.
I think that the code works under certain conditions. I very much doubt that in the state that I transferred it to you, the code cannot be 'made to work' for certain, planned but common instances. At the time, I claimed that, after you transferred compensation, you would receive support and progressive bug-fixes over time for quite awhile, and again, if I remember correctly, you stated something to the effect that bug-fixes were not needed or desired by you...that the code worked well enough and that you were happy with it to a some degree. If bugs were present that could not be fixed, and it seemed you consistently maintained a certain degree of dissatisfaction, I would have most likely refunded portions, if not all of payment, but you would have probably had to trust me on that. Unfortunately you may find it very difficult to trust other individuals.

Of course it's possible and even very likely that there are at least a few bugs in the code, but it's also very possible that you simply 'believe' there are bugs or maybe, you are just simply lying or exaggerating magnitude to reciprocate perceived 'slander'. Even if you now believed the code was 'working', I have no reason to assume that you would have ever transferred compensation, because at the relevant point in time, you claimed to be satisfied, but never made any payments even months later after you claimed you would do so. Evidently it may be easy (for you) to simply claim that the code is not working NOW.

Given the evidence of your own words, it seems others might have forced a 'pay-in-advance' policy (and maybe you did not seek a refund even when you were dissatisfied with a product), thus it is possible that trust might not have been placed in you previously or 'tested' and there were no 'problems'. Instead I made an erroneous good faith gesture, allowing you to test the code out somewhat before making payment so that you could determine that implementations were at least working partially. I made a horrible 'character judgement' error, and broke commonsense policies, but at the very least, I accept full responsibility for this terrible error and this breaking of commonsense policies. These commonsense policies are no doubt in place to protect parties from 'unsavory practices'.

Do you think that I actual enjoy publically displaying such signs of weakness, that I like admitting that I sometimes I don't bother to use commonsense in such matters, ...that I might actually allow potential 'thieves'' to 'take' or 'steal' from me...that I actually tolerate such disrepect? In this case I didn't intend to 'hjack' your thread, I only meant to redundantly warn others, as I might like to be warned, that 'commonsense practices' should probably be applied, especially in this case.

Really, Gamesaint762, I don't truly bear you illwill, if I did you might have received 'better' indications than the occasional 'fouling' of one of your valuable, community-beneficial threads. I suppose in this case, the warning meant for other users is indeed inappropriate, as is this post. In the future, I may try much harder to refrain from posting such meaningless warnings.

To display my lack of real illwill, to show that I am able to take a 'higher stance', you may contact me via forum private message, and even possibly receive free support for code that you claim isn't 'working', code you claimed you were satisfied with, code you agreed to pay for on a number of occasions but never did.
