if that doesn't help, it would be lovely if you could post some screenshots of the distortion so we could see exactly what is happening.

the stretching on slopes can't be stopped on terrains coz they're always textured from above. if you use a MDL instead of a HMP u could probably use some fancy unwrapping tool (blender is a wonderful modelling program and has a nice LSCM unwrapper) to texture it fairly evenly with minimal stretching.

Not sure exactly what I did lol, but everything looks fairly sweet now. Still have distortion, but hardly any. I REALY do not know what I did, but am trying to figure it out...if I do I will post it in here so everyone can get answer. My cat stepped on the Keyboard while I was changing a few layers in Photoshop, and i didn't think anything happened to the picture. It looked like it did before....in photoshop, but now it works when I build and run it as well . Still trying to figure out what happened. Am wondering if I had a mising layer or something of that nature...just not sure at the moment, but thought I would update this.
