When I create my own texture and add it to blocks of my level it looks wierd in the 3D window view. It has like dark areas. But when I load my level I have no problem. Where do I fix it?

--->I saw a post like this long time ago about a guy having the same problem as me but because I was not into texturing yet I did not pay attention to it. I tried to remember where I saw that post and did not work.

Don't do BMP files, save as .tga.

If you are using MSPaint, go to the 'tools' forumk and go to the starving developer's quickstart guide. Where it says '2d stuff' download the GIMP.
Alternatively, google the GIMP. I do not suggest image searching it.

Its a free nice program, about as powerful (or close to) PaintShop Pro

I have paintshop pro and I do save my images as a tga. file. There most be something wrong with te settings, but where do I change them?
