I think that comparatively, the WED and MED interfaces may be horribly awkward, that both pieces of software might be very impractical and very inadequate for some tasks of "World EDiting" and "Model EDiting", but the extent of general satisfaction or dissatisfaction might be dependent upon the amount actually paid for the overall 3DGS product. Perhaps, there is less room to complain when the price paid for the complete product is considered and that price is divided up and assigned to various components in some manner.
It certainly seems to me that the developers of portions of the greater product do not actually use those portions of the product significantly and this may be why portions of the product are somewhat 'lacking'. Maybe there are plenty of opportunities for those that might 'exploit' or offer compensation measures for the inadequacies in the product, but maybe there should not be so many opportunities.
