It's really not that hard to "create a world" Everything you need to make a game already exists within 3dgs. If you want to build an advanced game you have to script the code, but the templates alone can take you a very long way.

The "object" tab can be accesed by "right" clicking on the WED grid in any of the 4 windows. You can add a prefab, which is where you got the arch from. In your 3dgs there is a folder called "prefab". That stores objects that have either been made by you, or made by others that you can add to your world (level).

You can also add "primitive" items, and use those to build other items. You can add textures, and basically do anything you want to do. However the REASON all you got was a blue screen is most likely because you did not compile the level before you test ran it (the red !). You have to "build" it first...a little button to the left of the red exclimation point * in the same group in fact).

If you did that and still got a blue screen, then you should add a "view" to your level. You do this by once again "right" clicking on the screen and going to "add" then go down to "add position". Placce that a little ways from the arch and make sure it is facing it...now compile and test run it.

Alternatively all you may have to do is simply "move" by using the arrow keys on the keybaord. Try to back up or go forward, then turn around ...you are inside the object ( inside the arch) so you can't see it, and thus have a blue screen.

Maybe this helps

and btw open up the manual ( it is located in your gamestudio folder as well and is called: 3DGS_Manual.ecm. In there it walks you through using the editor, and also see my other post where I gave links to other tutorials.
