NEo axis engine

It's based on Ogre 3D rendering :
it means all last 3D techniques available (no need to pay some pro version
of something to have basic water with reflexions )

in the forums some have said : it could be a Torque competitor if the author continue in this way

Enought said : judge by yourselves.

Thanks Expert

hm.. looks pretty neat ^^ but I wonder.. what have they actually done themselves? I saw that for rendering it uses this, physics that, sound those etc..
okay, they made the editors and they are finding other librarys to make ragdoll support.

I like its capability to do inputs like in Doom. Dunno where they got that one..

Would be even more ":OOOOOO" if they had made all that themselves, but nooooooo

I could care less if they made it all themselves or not. If they make the engine more accessible and/or add things such editors, etc. then I am all for this. I don't need to "oooooo". I just need a tool I can use. Period.

Exactly. I really wondered why it took so long that finally someone puts Ogre or Irrlicht and creates some artist friendly editors on top of it.

maybe this could help:

On some systems a demo have very small fps. For increase in productivity execute the given command line before start of a demo:
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\ngen.exe install "C:\Program Files\NeoAxis Engine Demo 0.31\Bin\Game.exe"
It will borrow about one minute.
In the future it will do the installer.

I've tested it yesterday :
it's the most impressive thing i've seen from years.

big framerate and totally smooth to the eye (60HZ ??) even combinated with the shaders tests and fullscreen effect like glass or motion blurr.
Just test it

3D panels like in doom3 game , test level of killeing monster or deathmatch :
30 animated models firing at you with effects etc ... total smooth fast
framerate (i was impressed).
physics level incorporated totally functionnal and again big frame rate.
i've tested in 1024*768 , i'll test in 1208*1024.

It's frame rate is really above BV engine , it's just lot more smooth
to the eye. It's really really promising a lot, and could tease a lot torque engine indeed

i just hope the author continue and perhaps take some additionnal
programmer guys with him.
(i don't succed to make some level , i don't knwo how ot use level editor
, some docs would have been cool , or perhaps some things are not done yet ??)

OK i stop here before make some 3DGS fan afraid
i'm a 3D engine collector only but this one could be
a rare diamond among the other

the make or break question is.... how much will it cost? It didnt seem like a free project to me.

"The price will be within the limits of from 4000$ - 10000$. "

So it targets serious teams creating wanting to create a game like
LawMaker engine, it doesn't play in the same area of indie engine as
3DGS , BV or Torque ...
Bad for lot of us , but Good news for serious teams.

I think the engine once completed with all editors , will surely deserves
its price for real teams , caus it's so fast, smooth even with shaders ,physics and lot of things running at same time.

But it will be free to use for non commercial things : that can be a good point.

An alternative is to have a team and let one or two programmers create such
interfaces on top of Ogre3D and add some physics engine like ODE :
kot fo work , but nothing to pay.
like people that have created the game Ankh with Ogre3D , i think they have their own tools.

Seeing the performance and power, i really target to use Ogre3D or integrate a team on a Ogre3D project instead , lot of things i've tried previously didn't show me such smooth and high frame rate of it
