This looks very interesting Carloos
I noticed you didn't use a physics engine to simulate the car physics but I can judge from the video that you coded that very well
As Frank_G said, nice concept and blurry texture, and yes it would look allot more pro if it would have some oke textures ^^
About the arms, I think they look oke that way, I mention this because in your previous carting video's, everybody didn't liked the length of the arms but now it looks oke. So my question to you is, did you adpat the lenght
Overal, it looks nice

Cheers

I just congrats you! amazing work you have done!

For perfection, what camera.arc attitude are you using for your views?
In the 1st person view, the arms and legs of the models(the drivers) looks extremly stretched(like roars, I guess this is realted to your "view.arc" settings?).

But as Frank already mentioned it would be also nice if you over-work your textures a little bit more. It just would be perfect then and would make it even more pro'ish .

congrats again and cheers

frazzle :

First of all, thankyou for your comments.

No, It´s Newton Physics !!!

I have my own car physics script, but still need to implement collision with the environment, that´s why i´m not using it.

The arms are the same , just made them a lil shorter

zwecklos :

Thankx a lot for your words, I think i´m just learning, anyway.

My camera.arc is 72, I think its ok this way

Anyway, the player can change a lot of things about camera views.

Yes, at this moment I´m just reworking textures.

Thnx man

Hi.

I just updated youtube with a New Video .

In this video I changed the ground textires, and some parts of the track sorroundings were changed to models. I also textured the karts, now they are looking much better, IMO.

I also updated lights, sounds, and put some people looking to the race ( yet very simple ).

I think the level still needs some more lights, would like to know what you people think about it.

It's for sure an update with some new nice elements !!
The textures look better but I think it can be judged very hard because the video quality isn't that great so, a demo would be nice
I would add some curdstones, I know it's an indoor carting level but it will create a nice carting atmosphere and pits would be great
Well keep up your work Carloos, it's looking nice

Cheers

Yeah Frazzle, the video quality isnt that good, because I just cant find a way of send something to youtube that give a good result when processed in flash movie... anyway, I think the demo is coming very soon.

I can´t add more details to this track, because I changed it a lot, and it was supposed to be a advertising of a real track near my home.

But in the complete game I plan to put more tracks, like karting circuits, with curbstones and every element of real tracks.

Thanks for your comment, bro.

Looking good Carloos

I was just wondering if it might be good to reshape the drivermodel a bit...making it look less stiff.

Maybe more like this:

Ah, a clear view on your video, thxn for reposting some good quality screens Carloos !!
It defintly looks better that way, the texture look oke some abit blurry but in overall it looks good ^^ The reshaping of the models as Loopix mentioned would be nice to fit the really shape of the humain body but I don't think it's that neccesairy because it's a carting game and it's all about the racing and the fun
As I said, can't wait for a beta demo

Cheers
