Joining two physics objects together

Joining two physics objects together - 08/22/07 20:32

I've tried to join two physics objects together to act as one. Like gluing two spheres or boxes together, and now they act as one. I've tried using constraints, but I can't get them to work, the anchor point stops them from moving. I think its to do with constraints, I just have no idea how to set it up.

What physics engine are you using? GS ODE or Newton?

I'm using the GS physics engine. Newton doesn't work properly for me (goes into walls).

The physics example on the download page should have enough code to get you started (I mean the racer demo source for pro owners). The buggy off course has more objects together, but by looking at the code it'll be clear as a daisy how to work with less objects.

where is the physics example? I can only find the demo with the wrs.

I believe you have to download it separately from the "download" section.

A link would help.

Mmmm, you are right, the link seems to be removed. Then you should ask Conitec in the 'Ask Conitec' thread. A bit strange, I wonder why they've removed it...
