lighting issue

lighting issue - 10/30/08 18:23

I was just experimenting with lights and found out that Blue doesn't work.

I built a simple level with two lights, one red, one blue. The blue (0,0,255) turned out white. The red (255,0,0) was red as it should have been. I tried changing the blue light to green (0,255,0) and I got a green light next to a red light as I expected.

Blue does work in the 3d window in WED but it comes out white when I preview the map.

Other than the color, all other attributes of the two lights are the same. 600 range, dynamic is not checked, HiRes is not checked.

Colors with blue mixed in do work fine.

Would this be a driver issue of some type? And if so, why wouldn't blue work but the other colors work fine?

edit: further testing, (0,1,255) gave me a blue light, but I still want to know, I guess for diagnostic purposes, why pure blue doesn't work.

Set the blue light to (8,8,255).

blush

Guess I should read the manual a bit more carefully.

Last I worked with this program, I had A5 Standard so I didn't know much about colored lights.
