Multiple levels... - 06/10/01 15:51

Hello everyone,

I have a problem I need help with. You see, I layed out our solar system. It's 25 levels in size. The problem I have is that whenever the players ship jumps to the next level(or section of space), the ship has to be placed in the other level. What I mean is, is that each level has to contain an entity for the player to use right? Well, I want the player to use the SAME entity as he/she has from the begining of the game. Whenever they are in the next level, I want thier position to be where it would actually be(Like crossing from one level box to another, if the solar system was just one large grid. I hope that I explained it right. It's hard.

If there is anyone out there that can help me, please post!

Thank's in advance,
Ben

Hi
Try searching in the forums for the Half Life level change code.
Hope that helps

five of nine:

When a new level loads just use 'CREATE' to put the player model where you want with whatever script you want attached to it.

I've got a code like the one you are looking for. The only Problem you must use a splashscreen everytime you change the levels.
But your Position will be the same as before.

I've you want to have it, I'll send it to you.
