Ok, it's Saturday, but I think I post anyway a link to the new Gamestudio/A7.07 version for a public beta test:

gstudio_707.exe

This version contains fixes for the bugs listed for 7.06, as well as new postprocessing features, a new shader viewer, improvements for WED and MED and lots of new engine functions. You can install it as an update to your previous 7.06 version. About installing and using the new features, please read:

The map compiler is the same as of 7.06 because the new radiosity functions are not yet 100% finished. Possibly there will be a new map compiler next week. However I thought to put up the public beta anyway as a sort of early Christmas present for the daring.

There are also new shader workshops about postprocessing, shadow mapping, and soft shadows. You can download the new Shader Tutorial here: http://server.conitec.net/down/shader_workshops.zip.

Please test everything and post problems to the bugs forum.

Thank you very much for releasing this before Christmas! I already feared, my holidays would become boring

Something I realized: wed and med take much more time to start now (on my system), about 15 seconds., before (A7.06) I had ca. 1sec

But everything else is very cool so far, great update!

Is anyone else getting "physics not yet enabled" error messages throughout their scripts, where they weren't before? My game ran flawlessly on the last version, but not I keep getting that error message for every line of code that uses physics.

wow. cool!! i tested the engine an now a7.07 is about 10 fps better then a7.06.
about 10 models have together ~1200 polys, and a7.07 runs with ~20fps!!! a7.06 had only~10fps.
i'm very impressed!!

i got this fps increase too!! on my test level i got 30~45 fps on A7.06 and now 60 fps on A7.07!!

this is great!!

Didn't really notice any higher frame-rates. Maybe thats because due to the fact that on LCD monitors in fullscreen the max refresh rate is just 60hz. Anyways what is important is that it doesn't drop to a lower value. I tested with Sphere2 from Matt.

Great update!

WED seems to have a problem with models that have frames.

Engine works fine and map gets comnpiled without any errors but it shows a box instead of the model on editor. It makes editing a bit harder

The radiosity lightmapper is not yet included in this version, but it and will be included in the next update, 7.08.
