Import from .AQM removed from MED? - 08/20/06 00:10

Hello,

I was just wonering Why the import/export for .AQM was
removed from recent MED versions? (6.405 for sure)

I have found it a must to have interchaing from A6 .mdl's
to earlier ones of A5.

With the import/ Export option availbable
a model could be exported to .AQM and used
on an Game Studio version all the way down to
A5 version 5.203 wich is even lower than the downgrade
which is now featured....

Please consider re-implementing it or making a model
convertor to change between the .mdl formats

I'm not Conitec but if I'm correct, 5.20.3 is a beta version of 3DGS, so why 5.20.3?

Saving as MDL5 (no bones) should still work.
I was able to use many models created/or modified with the A6 MED directly in A5.

Well If you want to know....
there still is that Company Conitec dosn't like
( name and link with held)
Yes it is fully Legal.....

They Still sell A5 Version 5.203
which is What many A5 users around here
on the forums are using.

Then of Course there is still the A5 trial
which was 5.203 as well....

also legal and downloaded from Conitec
Website years ago...

I used that a long time myself
simply because They wouldn't let me
buy A5 Pro.

But the point is for both of these verions
.mdl 5 was not an option

These early A5 versions use
.mdl 4

I know with A6 being the current version
more focus is going to be on .mdl 7

but my point is leaving .AQM available
makes a model acessable to Anyone regardless or
which Engine or version they use...

It would be nice I liked this Feature a lot.
I store all my models as .AQM
