A6 Question - 05/03/09 17:48

I've got a project that I created in A6 and I'm not sure what version I used to create it in. I've got multiple A6 versions installed and it's been years since I looked at this project.

what is the last version of A6 that used direct X 8.1?

is there any way to look at a particular file in my project to tell which version of the A6 engine it was Compiled and Packaged with?

Maybe there´s an old acklog somewhere in that folder?
The latest DX8.1 version was A6.22.

It most likely has a start-up dialog screen which tells you which version of 3dgs it was compiled with. You're talking about something compiled into an exe file with say the Pro or Com version, right?

Only when you compile something, you can tell the version. Code that you write with SED gives no indication of the version number. The last DX8.1 version was indeed 6.22.

it was written with A6 pro and I had created my own splashscreen but your reply gave me the clue, I renamed the acknex.wdf file so it wasn't found and got my answer!

thanks!
