Dynamic Lite-C? Breach of T&C - 12/17/09 05:33

Hi JCL, is compiling lite-c code at runtime against any sort of rules or licensing terms?

I've been messing about with it lately, just to see what it could do and I'd love to add it to my Easy Scripter. It would allow prototyping of games much easier as you write the code as you go along, changing anything you don't like and seeing the results immediately.

Here's what I'm talking about...

Thanks, DJB.

I think you're not allowed to do a wrapper.
As far as I've understood this means you must not make the need of a proper A7 license obsolete. The user still must own a Gamestudio edition. I don't know about the grey areas, though.

It's legal when your program uses the acknex.dll development version in the user's Gamestudio folder for compiling. It's illegal when a published DLL is used. The current runtime modules are able to compile, but at some point this won't be able anymore. We want to make the modules smaller and the compiler, among other parts needed only for development, will be removed from them.

Ahh ok, it was never my intention to release it to the public, I just thought it was pretty cool. Thanks.
