40 script includes limit

40 script includes limit - 03/07/10 14:04

Is there a 40 script "includes" limit in Commercial A7?

Is the following correct?
Lite-C Free-- no limit
Extra-- 40 limit
Commercial-- 40 limit
Pro-- no limit

Any other input on this is appreciated.

(This is not a double post; this is just to get it straight as there seems to be confusion in the other thread.)

Using C-Script (.wdl-Files), there is that limit with a maximum of 40 include code files. It exists independent of the engine edition, for everyone. If you use Lite-C (.c-Files) instead of C-Script, there is no such limit for any edition.

Additionally, I've learned about "Resource" files. For those who might not know, as I've recently learned, the pro edition is the only one that can create them, but they can be read by all editions. Using a resource file and the Pro edition, a user of c-script could keep scripts seperated and exceed the 40 c-script/wdl limit.

From manual on "RESOURCE":

Such resources can be opened by all Gamestudio editions, but created only be the P Pro Edition.

Read up on Resource in the help files for details.

Thank you, Slin. I hope that that puts a rest to this.
