A GUI DLL for defining standard Windows controls (list box, combo box etc.)
Are there any information for us what's the actual progress of that feature and how it will be used?
As easy as the other panel-button-etc.-elements?

Conitec time doesn't apply here, as we haven't yet told anything about when we're going to develop the GUI DLL. But if many people are interested in this DLL, we can give it a higher priority.

So what about the other developer, who making 2D user interface(s) - for what list box, combo box etc. are essential GUI elements ?!?

Again to the question of the implementation - will it be similar to the button functions etc.?
At all, why as a DLL and not as standard 3dGS commands?

Because we don't want to make the engine MFC dependent. Thus it has to be a DLL.
It will not be very similar to panel/button functions. The Windows GUI elements are quite different to the GUI for games and multimedia apps.

I'd put my vote in. Busting out a few tools to help the development of specific applications is extremely helpful, and such a DLL would make that a lot easier.
If it came out soon, I bet you'd see a tonne of its usage in the latest AUM contest.

it would be really nice to have such a dll,
but it would be also cool to have some more panel objects like an inputbox or something like this, where the user can click at and enter any text like a player name or a combo/listbox, so you don't have to code this functions
its surly possible to do this with the Windows Controls, but it would be better to have this objects on panel or something like that.

We have received some emails from users who want this DLL, and it also fits in the new Gamestudio concept, so it got a high priority. We'll start developing this DLL as soon as A8 is fully finished.
The DLL will contain standard GUI control elements for static boxes, edit boxes, list boxes, combo boxes, radio and check boxes, spinner, color, image, and files and folders.

Yes, it also works with A7.
I think this is rather about Windows GUI controls, but it's nice to see how people regard my GUI as a replacement for that.
