Gamestudio can not be installed on Windows 8

Hi,

I'm currently (trying to) work with Windows 8 and just tried to install 3D Gamestudio A8 (latest Version from the Download Area).
I get the error message:

"Error: Gamestudio A8 (8.40.3) is not available for WinNTx (6.2)".

Running the Setup in Compatiblity Mode for windows 7 solves this problem..

Thanks for the info. Gamestudio runs under Win 8, but the setup program does not, as it came out before the Win8 release. So, until the next Gamestudio update, Win7 compatibility mode is the correct solution.

Yep also my experience. Runs fine without any dumps (on Windows 8). Just the installer..
