A9 - 08/18/13 15:09

quite simply... any plans for an A9 version??? I haven't seen anything yet, and to plan another project I kinda like to see the road ahead before I commit to an authoring tool.

A9 is planned but there's no release date / specific features, yet and atm they're still working on zorro.

I've posted the following in May, and I'd still say/ guess the same if anyone asked me now (although by now the new WED could likely come with A9 only):

- The new WED which replaces both the current WED and MED will be released for A8 and be tested by its beta testers and regular users.
- A few month after that A9 will be announced, and the 3DGS homepage will be redesigned using screen shots from the new WED.
- Then they will probably think about a Mac/ Linux port, depending on the sales numbers of the Android plug-in and of GStudio in general.

We're currently working on 8.45. When we've begun to work on 8.80, we'll start thinking about A9.

ok, ty for your reply...then it falls into my current cycle to keep my current project going in a rival engine(no need to advertise here...seems tasteless) instead of upgrading to A8, only to need to upgrade again sooner than later....
I am curious what features will be planned for A9, but that is a speculative subject for another thread.
