starter window trouble - 03/21/07 14:40
Hi can anyone help a noob here. When I check the starter box in publish, I get a error "ERRNO #291.313"
Anything specific I need to look out for?
Here's my process.
a .wdl containing only the following:
WINDOW WINSTART
{
TITLE "In die Begin, met Oom Karoolus en Lente";
SIZE 640,480;
MODE IMAGE;
PICTURE <start.bmp>,OPAQUE,0,0;
PROGRESS RGB(0,0,255), 10, 10, 450, 620, 20;
}
New file in wed. save. add script. publish, with only starter box checked.
error

His profile says Standard edition so this starter function will not work. There is a Splash maker or something floating on the forum which allow you to do your own startup screen with editions lower than pro though.

WINDOW WINSTART
{
TITLE "In die Begin, met Oom Karoolus en Lente";
SIZE 640,480;
MODE IMAGE;
PICTURE <start.bmp>,OPAQUE,0,0; <-- ThereŽs a problem!!
PROGRESS RGB(0,0,255), 10, 10, 450, 620, 20;
}
IŽve tested it, have you saved the bitmap as 8-bit bitmap?
"Images must be in PCX or BMP 8-bit palettized format" (from the manual)

Re: starter window trouble - 03/23/07 08:02
I checked the file in photoshop and its set to 8 bit / Channel.
I really dont get it. Why is it not working? It says "ERRNO #291.314, no starter window definition found." Its as if it does'nt read the file at all.
edit:
If all else fails will you be able to help me? Can I send you the bmp? I will really appreciate it.

Its the same as in Irfan View, set Image mode to 8 bit, indexed colors.
