Animated textures

I know I am being a bit lazy in not building a level to test this but I have a question about animated textures. If a texture is animated and applied to different places in the level will they all be in sync with each other. This is to say if a block is displaying the first frame of the sequence will all the other be displaying the first frame at the same time.
