NinjaCat - 10/12/14 16:03

Hello!
This is my first game, and it's called NinjaCat.

You have 5 missions in killing your enemies but this attack when they see you.
You play it with the mouse:
Go and atackieren LMT
RMT ninja throwing star
The game is in German but you just have to accept only the missions and run up to the enemies to kill them and an English version coming soon

Windows 8 version (without snow and low terrain resolution)

Your title is misleading. I thought it would involve a cat who is a ninja, but it turns out the character is more of a play on Cat Woman.

Hi CocaCola, I tried your game. It is a good start for first game, but needs some work tongue . But you can do it. Here's my feedback:

- road is a very blue, is that intended? Tree leaves are also purple. If this was intended, make grass and green terrain ground also weird/fanatasy-like, than it is consistent, but I think better would be to just make the road less blue and make leaves dark green.
- snow effect (from AUM?) is nice
- cliffs are nice I think, some shadow problems though on some camera perspectives
- the first guy on the middle of the road with a flashlight, I just killed attacked him and he did not seem to do anything ( was he a pacifist? grin )
- grass is decent, could have more vegatation
- mouse movement is good, but with left mouse attacking it should be possible to hold the left mouse button for attacking.
- ninja stars are too weak? don't know for sure, but they don't seem to do much for their price.
- invisible wall in the south is weird, add something like vegatation that blocks the way.
- I like the art style of the ofen building.

If you can improve the combat and continue with the rest of the map, add some items etc., this can become really fun.

Okay seeing you probably are not going to do anything with the feedback, no offense but I won't give it anymore than tongue .

Re: NinjaCat - 10/16/14 15:00

Thank you both for testing and sorry that I have not looked in here.
The Ninja is a Female Ninja, they wanted to stand out from your Ninja friends and has a cat hat sewn ...

The Level I wanted to appear in a blue shimmer to make it look like night but the Mystymood has made everything brighter. The trees are to be cherry blossoms.
The story is, however, that the Kungfu Master wants you herrausfordern you get the order to use your cunning and kill him from behind.
you but you can Needs 4 ninja stars to kill an enemy in the console "ninja stars = 100" to enter;-)

And thanks for the review
Maybe I'll take sometime a second part out, with more action

best regards Max

, its good practice to update / build upon a game. Plus it adds more playtime and replayability to your game,
so in the future when you want to play your game again you can play it longer wink .

Well its entirely your choice, I would suggest though to choose a project (or 2) and stick to it for a while. Whether it is the U-boat game or NinjaCat or both doesn't matter much, both seem to have potential, just don't begin on a new project after e.g. a month. Cause otherwise your projects would be half-completed at best and would just rot away somewhere since it will be not finished enough to for you or for others to play it and probably not interesting enough to pick it up again.

At the time when I made my first game(s), I was constantly switching between projects, resulting in more than a handfull games just being garbage. I learned alot from it, but its still a waste otherwise it would have definitely added about 2-3 extra (mini)games to my games list laugh.

Together taken, I worked on 7 evening Ninjacat and do believe that it is not really a game but to work on a game more than a month since I lack the motivation.
When I had new game studio, I worked six months on a project and then I was very frustrated.
You can watch the result look like on Youtube, it says Sci Fi Adventure.

Re: NinjaCat - 10/17/14 19:16

I haven't looked at it in detail, but it looked like a very big project. Doing a big project as a first project/game goes often wrong and becomes frustrating (like you said). Better is to start small in the beginning, and add more features lateron.

Thank you for your interest.
These were, of course, not all videos, some I deleted. for example the one with the lighting and six futuristic lamps. Some buildings I have already done.
Quite leave me my motivation as I wanted a shop system for installing 10 stores with 40 products
