godray shader possibility~~~ - 11/21/09 14:53

So i was in the bethesda softworks OBGE forums and i came across a thread that discussed crepuscular rays(god rays) in oblivion. Theres a small group of independent developers tyring to do it. why is this important? they released this .fx file for poeple to play around with and see if they can get it to work. I thought i'd share it with you guys. see if anyone would use it/convert it to work with 3dgs. it seems to be a solid script. not complete yet, as theyve told us, but still worth giving a whack or two.

hope u guys find a use for it...

cheers!

There are already implementations for GS: Slin did one, ShadeC has godrays and my Wavefield demo makes use of them too, etc.

@Julz: I know, I know - thats why I added the 'etc.' wink

Nevertheless, here is a small pic of my implementation (a little bit excessive):

Don't worry Hummel, I didn't feel left-out wink

I just thought since Quadraxas was extending the list with Enduriel's godrays I'd add mine for emphasis grin
