Problem when publishing - 10/28/10 02:54

Hi

I dont know if its really a bug.
My project runs fine, but when i publish it and try to run it from the cd-folder, there is an error: "Error in effect: mat_shadow... X1507 failed to open source file 'poisson'"

I looked through the code and found the line
#include <poisson>
in the file "st_stencilblur.fx". Then i looked for a file like "poisson" but there is nothing...

Does someone know, please?

Btw: A7 Comm 7.85

Snake67,
I believe that you might need to add the "default.fx" file manually to your .cd folder....
Give that a try... Add the file to your .cd folder and try running...
Good luck...

And when you're at it, find out why you had a problem with the default.fx file in the first place. Make sure that you have the latest Gamestudio version - that's 7.86. Also, check your project folders for old or wrong versions of your files. You need not be helpless in such a case.

Thanks to you both, i will check this out soon.

Great! Patch 7.86 installed and copied "default.fx" manually, it works!

Is there a possibility to avoid the need of copying?

Snake67,
Not that I'm aware of...
From JCL's response it sounds as though there should be.
Maybe we are both deficient/helpless or simply lack the knowledge.
My projects that I copy the default.fx file into, are old A6 template C-Script projects.
Possably this isn't nessasary with Lite-C projects.
It's rare I feel helpless... But, I'm sure it's more often the case than not.
I'm glad I could help.
Keep pounding the keys...
