How static lights work with models?

How static lights work with models? - 02/28/20 19:34

Hey.

This is kinda weird to me, but should static lights affect big plane like models? I just placed a water plane and right above it's center, there is a static light which doesn't do anything to it..

Maybe it supposes to work this way and I only noticed this?

Yes. Static lights only serve for lightmapping and PRV generation. They have no effect at all on entities. You can configure a static light also as dynamic by enabling both flags in its configuration panel in WED.
