RazorAI is back

RazorAI is back - 01/02/08 20:10

RazorAI - the fully open source AI solution for 3DGS - is back and the lite version of it is completely free!

Support for the system will be offered though the BrainFluid Games forums, and I will do my best to answer any questions you have about the system. Please be aware, however, that my main focus will be the development of RazorAI in its new and improved form - that is currently not ready for the public.

Note that this is one of the last times RazorAI will be in full c-script, as the system is currently being converted to C++ to be added to the Torque Game Engine and as a plugin for 3DGS.

Also, at the moment the more advanced versions of RazorAI are not available for purchase or as a free download. This is so I can focus on RazorAI's future as a cross-engine AI solution.

With that said - get RazorAI Lite here

Edit:

Also, please note that Daniel Niezgocki was the main guy behind RazorAI back when it started and that I am working on the remains of the RazorAI project with his permission.

I've been informed this should probably be in User Contributions (my bad) so could someone please move it.

Is there a c-script version too?

Currently, the only version of RazorAI that exists is in c-script. The new and improved c++ RazorAI is still under development. RazorAI lite is exactly the same c-script version as it was when it was originally released.

That said, it is doubtful I will make a new updated c-script version of RazorAI and instead continue support for 3DGS through a plugin. However, RazorAI will remain open source - you will just have to know c++ to add functionally to it in the future.

Currently I'm completely recoding the system into C++ so that it can be used in multiple engines - TGE and 3DGS included.

For anyone else who has this problem (which also occurred to me), I used 7-zip to decompress the file instead of windows, and it worked properly.

Also, Ben- I'd reccommend you also consider implementing sections of WACAI in this, as (IMO) it is a bit more versatile and better in design than RazorAI was. I'll shoot the last source I have over to you sometime.

Hey, nice stuff. I cant register at the forum though. It doesn't show an image with letters/digits to confirm registering, i tryed a couple off times without succes.

anyway i wanted to add a suggestion; maybe it's a cool thing to release just the pathfinding stand-alone for more expirienced programmers?

Would this be the RazorAI/DrakeWizard I purchased from ShadowForge Games back in '05 for $75? Just curious...
