Full version HAVE LOD stages for all model formats!
Each tree have around 1000 triangles. LOD 1 is about 200-300 triangles and it is very high quality, so you can use them like separate models, for example they are perfect for RTS game. LOD 2 have only 4 triangles and it is made from 2 biliboards.

I would like to add:
Like all newer Dexsoft packs this pack comes with textures for shaders. So you can apply normalmapping to the trees, specularity to the leaves and you can use the alpha channel in the colormap or even use a separated texture containing only the opacity.

Since we made 2 materials (bark and foliage) for every tree you are able to apply 2 different effects to the trees (e.g. normalmapping for the bark and specularity for the foliage, or only z-sorting for foliage but not for the bark).

We put alot of efforts to make this pack complete with LOD stages and even collision models (not in MDL but in DTS format).

I am looking forward to see your projects with huge forests soon. It should be possible with this pack because remote LOD stages have only 4 polygons

Are the screens showed above rendered in 3DGS?

No. But I have real-time screen shots for you if you are interested.

This is from a competetive engine (without shaders but casting shadows onto terrain):




And this is from a real-time model viewer (no shaders applied):






If you render them in Gamestudio then they will look similar and can look even better with shaders applied.

I guess they look quite beautiful in 3DGS, but my purpose was, if those screens were rendered in 3DGS, to ask for the shadow mapping shader.

i just bought this pack, and am downloading the full ~190MB now..
only thing, why is it so goddamn slow? takes me about 2 hours to download it..
im not on dial-up, and i dont mind, but for the people that run on something slower (say ADSL or whatever) this can be a pain in the ***.

anyway, im really happy with this! thanks a lot, and keep it up!

it's a good thing, that I found a way to make money on the net and sending it direct to my paypal account.
so I can finally buy some model paks in a few day! yay!
those are just awesome :]

I want to note again that all 3DGS users need to apply simple FPP shader from wiki to show both polygon sides on each tree.

New Tropical pack is on a final stage. We will have it ready within one week. It is great with around 30 models even better than veg pack

Because of very bad download speed we had last month we are forced to move to new faster server because our current provider IMHOSTED.COM is going through speed problems on their servers.
I hope that moving will be un-noticable for our customers.
