Free 5 SkyCube Pack

as some of you know, i own and operate the 'Sky's The Limit' site.

i want to thank the community for its' interest in my cubesets over the past year or so, and would like to show you my appreciation by giving this 5 cube set.

thanks but how do you algin these as skycubes without having to repaint them for gs?

sorry Blattsalat... not sure what you're asking.

the pics displayed here represent one single render from each of the 5 different skycubes.
the rar file (download) contains the 5 cubes which are already formatted for gamestudio, and a readme file that gives detailed instruction on how to implement them.

Did you use Terragen to make any of these?

What do you use for your terrain? Bryce?

Thanks a lot! As I'm no fan of unrealistic skies, I probably won't use them, but they'll definitely give me a good start at making my own skycubes

while i use (and enjoy) Terragen quite a bit, these particular cubes were done in Mojoworld.

i haven't used Bryce, although i've seen some very nice work come from that program.

1kbs? i was getting 30 on my 256kbs connection, maybe the servers just a lil overloaded

not sure about the slow downloads... must be a server issue. i routinely get 100k speeds off it. must be having problems.

just keep trying, i'm sure they'll sort it out eventually.

i tried again many times, yesterday and today, too . with the dsl connection here, but i cant manage to download them. there is no progress. maybe someone who already got them can host them elsewhere?

i love those and definately like to have them:)

hi guys-

i just talked with my webhost service department and have been informed that there is indeed a problem with the server. they have promised to have it resolved today sometime... we'll see

in the meantime, if anyone who already has the file would like to host it - it would be a big help to these folks who are patiently trying to get their hands on it.

perhaps Grimber or someone may want to host it for the community

the file is a tad over 10 megs and a little heavy for my email server to handle, but i'll still try to send it over to 'immersionfx'. i've had very little success emailing files this large, but it's worth a shot.

edit : according to my email client, the file just made it's way to immersionfx who i want to thank for his willingness to help

the server issues have been settled and will hopefully remain stable for a while. i just downloaded the file at
300k.
