I have to say I didn't really enjoy the "Addendum" sequel. The first like 30 minutes are okay but it imo gets utterly boring from that point on and doesn't really deliver THAT much info...

Another film which imo is worth watching - "Kriegsversprechen" ("War promises" - the wordplay didn't make it through the translation):

Well i found exactly the opposite, it really delivers the way to go.
The first part was boring to me, but only because i am familar with it,
the second part interesting because this is how i think, and it is good
to see others thinking the same way.

A world without money.
And i actually think that it is do-able, although the transition will take time.

EDIT: Forgot to say i have been studying these topics for the last 20 years, thats why a lot of the beginning is well known to me.

That's kinda correct - it just extends a bit of what was said in the first movie. That entire economic hitman thing then imo wasn't presented very well. The end then was kind of an advertisement for the Venus Project presenting some design studies but not really more. To my mind that didn't really fit to what Addendum and its predecessor actually were all about...

What in your view was it (the previous one) all about?
I mean what do you get from watching it? I am not being funny,
but my experience in life have taught me that everyone usually sees
things differently, even the same things.
Even i will probably see it differently when i watch it again in a few weeks, or at least see other points.
What exited me this viewing was the Venus Project, and what it can be, for i have been pretty annoyed at how life in general on this planet has become. I know that it can be different, and that most people would want it to be different.

Re: Zeitgeist Addendum - 12/01/09 18:50

Well the first movie in my opinion was about disillusion for the most part. The Addendum follow-up then also pretty much did so with the additional info about the FED's money mechanics and that economic hitman concept. The Venus Project part then was about sort of a vision which isn't totally off the scale but also doesn't really fit to the rest. I don't want to say that the Venus Project is bad but it shouldn't be the only project of its kind (you even could argue to call it a "project" anyway as it seems to be pretty much just a one man show) and doesn't really offer anything besides some design studies. Not that one shouldn't dream about things but combining it with the informing tone of the movies just doesn't fit. Especially as it's an extremely complicated and wide topic it would have deserved a film of its own rather than just throwing it in the Addendum movie. It switches from giving you some info to an old man presenting his design ideas - to my mind this didn't work out and wasn't really made interesting in terms of how it's actually done on the cinematic level...

Thanks for your reply, i understand what you mean now, Even though i do think they are all related, from the illusion(s) presented to us, to how some of these illusions are perpretrated, and then a possible solution, but as i said we all are a sum of our experiences and do tend to percieve things in slightly different ways.
