Can TrueSpace be used with GameStudio?

I think yes, the new DirectX exporter seems better then tS6.

There is a thread on the ts forums discussing this by nowherebrain?
You can apparently import static models easily, animations and complex imports require intermediate software, blender or ultimate unwrap.

What is the catch? I own LW3D and not really need. Anyway free is always nice. So the catch is? Pay for updates or content? Also with customer it means you have to register, not one must been a customer in the past or become one paid right now.

it does work for static models, I have had no luck with animations. I use the .obj file format.

I haven't found a catch yet. Unlike GSL, I can have as many faces as my computer can handle. And when I registered, I was not asked for a CC number so there's nothing to pay. It appears that it is the full version of TS7.6, completely free, no catch.

And as for static models, I've found through experimenting that I get the best results in MED by making my model in TS, triangulating and then exporting as a .3ds. Then importing the .3ds into MED.

In the past, gameSpace Light only had .x and I had to do some welding on the vertices in MED. Unsure if thats fixed but .3ds seems fine.
