Ogre 3D is going to have Iphone support smile

The problem i think , is that you will need to have the Iphone SDK and be registered in Apple Developper site ??

from what i hear you have to anyways no matter what engine you use.

Actually it is not that closed. It is very open compared to most of the console markets. The Apple iPhone store is crowded and full of indie games.
As far as I know you pay less than 100 $ for a SDK, you need about a few thousands to get a license on the consoles.

I think it is a perfect strategy. An entry price and a quality management will lead to better games in their shop.

it is nice to have a hand held market with indie prices. just wish i could get into it at the moment.

Just a question - Is there a chance to programm games for other mobiles like LG KM 900 Arena or HTC touch pro?

For Mbobiles , a solution can be to use Java language, i don't know what libraries for 3D or 2D exactly exists, but search on google and you'll find.

also if it uses windows mobile (I know the htc touch pro does) there are dev languages for that that come with visual studio, im not sure how you do it though.

i dont know about LG but afaik touch pro has window mobile in it. i am sure you can find lots of stuff about windows mobile dev.

for language wise,it's like other device,we can use asm,c++,c,basic,.net(c#),

there is a gcc port for arm but i forgot where is the address,just check sourceforge..

misc : for custom rom you can get from http://www.xda-developers.com/ :D,the headache is to choose the most stable one
