truespace 7.61 - 10/28/09 16:15

Just noticed that the caligari web site is back up and they have a new version. This version will export .x files. And the price is right. It is FREE!

Truespace, gamespace is really nice software, it really is. BUT, it has a huge learning curve. Once you get past the learning stage though it is really nice.
The UI is very intimidating because of all the widgets and gadgets but once you know what they do its just like any other software.

hi,

does anyone know if TS is usefull for us?

I mean the export as .x file and import in MED/ or engine.

The Bones and Boneanimations survives the import in MED?

What about meshgroups and importing?

If you visit the truesource shopand follow the scatteredpixel tribute banner, you will find a bunch of tutorials I did(free). While I think tS7 was on the right track it is not super usefull in my opinion without additional plugins like .obj export... Here is a good place to find those plugins.

hi,

.x supports only Animationsets no Bones as I see. Damn!

And I found only .obj Exportes for cash. Investing money in an exporter for a maybe abandoned software is not very clever.

Or exists an free .obj exporter?

Better try Blender.
With ventilator plugin exporting to A7 is easy laugh !

I couldn't agree more, but this thread is about trueSpace...not everyone(aside from you and I)wants to use blender.
