I'm not pretty sure if this is the correct section, but oh well...
Yes, I do use it. It's pretty awesome and the best part is UV mapping.
It has a waaaay more simpler interface than Blender, I've never figured out how to use Blender (Maybe because I'm just too lazy to read their tutorials )
And the secret in the whole program is... Right-Click.
most of my models are made in Wings 3D this is a great and the best tool for modeling. you can just look some up I made and I think it has some realy good function.
Is it adequate to get your feets wet? I don't know anything about modeling and I even don't have a talent for this, I guess. Would you recommend it for a start and some simple objects?
you don't need any tutorials to learn it,it's so easy,it use's POLY EDIT algorithm, and it got a nice UVW unwraper, even though,it's limited. but hey it's freeeeee . you can try out fragmotion, not free but,it's allot more advanced, and not so pricey"$50",or milkshape"$35".
i tried wings, i am not sure if i like it yet. i am really good with MED, so I am having trouble getting used to another programs methods. i wasted money on milkshape and never used it, as well as blender and anim8tor freeware. someday when i have more time....
