Blood paint on skin!

Blood paint on skin! - 09/08/08 10:10

Is there a way to paint pre-defined blood splashes on a entity skin?

My idea is:

c_trace (shoot)

if a entity is hit at the hitted position a pre defined blood splash with random roll and size get added to the skin file or in other way.

Anyone know if there is a possibility to do that? Maybe with shaders? or any other ideas? smile

Well thanks

Is it possible that this function only is avaiable in lite-c?

I have the manual for my GS6.60, and I can't find any reference to ent_decal. I'm guessing lite-c only as well.

ent_decal is also in c-script i can see but thereīs another one. ent_decalvertex which paints on the position as the givenvertex. but this one donīt work for me. Maybe itīs not implented or only lite-c

edit: ok if i use ent_decal(you,bloodspray,target) that should wrk the engine crashes.

ent_decal is only available since A7.10.1 but this doesn't automatically mean that it's lite-c only.

I don't get a crash, but it doesn't create anything.

I'm pretty sure though that you could use pixel_for_vec, pixel_to_bmap and pixel_for_bmap to make up a decal code. In theory it's possible, but I'm not sure how fast it would be.
