Check out Showcase section. There are still users who make games and put them on steam. Also don't forget Superku!

I'm planning to create a 2d game using A8. However, at the moment I'm still working on some framework-related things because I want to have a solid base to work with. (mainly a 2d collision system, interface (partially done) and audio functions)

, UT2004 forever laugh . I recently played a UT2004 mod which added Half Life 2 weapons and monsters/combines to its invasion mode, was really cool and surprisingly good combine AI (recommended to people here still playing ut2004).

oh how I love(d) Unreal Tournament 2k4 laugh
There were soo many great mods, many of them total conversions. (my all time favorite is runestorm's ballistic weapons mod). I'm not really playing it anymore, though. If I want to play UT these days, I go with UT3 or the new one.

Shameless ad, check out Lawbreakers, that's actually a feature (for all guns) there.

, seems like a potentially fun game. I find multiplayer only a bit risky though (sometimes these games die off within a year or two).

I think part of the decision to go with multiplayer only was that they wanted to be able to offer the game for 29.99$ instead of the usual like 60$. Singleplayer campaigns are a lot of content work.

My project is coming to Steam soon:

I really like 3dGamestudio for creating 2D-Games but the biggest problem is that it can only export to Windows...
