The first impression seems that it using SSAO. The textures must consume lots of time.

Hey looks already great, but try to make some more detailwork on terrain. now it looks quiet blurry and boring, try to insert some more stones, dead trunks, also try to play around with normalmaps, maybe some cracked earth and more variance in height. but all in all it looks already great!

I agree with scholoder87. It all looks great, except the terrain, even if the buildings were made to look like it was on some sort of foundation other than sand.

really nice, it could run with less than 5 fps on my pc grin
but is it a game with a background story, or just an explorable level with fine graphics?

I must admit, I have a few problems. The sephia style of "rage" combined with some rpg stuff gras and a black clothed character which does not clearly covers the rest of the ambience (only my pov).
Is this only a level with a few models and your signature included or is this a work, based on code?

btw the hardcore blurred background is an absolute mistake in optical art

Well, the one with the sepia rage-quit tribe of danger and excellence was fun to read.
As for the attainable critics, I'll take in consideration the advice on the ground being excessively too sandy.

You could start by downloading the free shade-c 0.90 or beta 0.91 from havoc's website. You have several features there that can help you improve your ingame levels.

In my opinion what makes a scenario look photorealistic with the current technology is the combination of lighting shadows and bump maps. Therefore you could read up on high dynamic range lighting (along with bloom effects), realtime ambient occlusion (ssao), and normal/parallax mapping techniques.
Secondarely you can add depth of field to your level (meaning blury backgrounds), although not many players like that (I personally do).
