Zorro not loging into FXCM Real but will log into Demo

I've been having this problem with FXCM since yesterday. I've tried multiple computers. One XP machine two Windows 7. At first it was that it could not download USD/CAD data and would force close the application. Now it just will not login to the server.

Broker: Login - Login failed. can't connect!

Demo account has no problem at all.

Any ideas?

If the demo account has no problem, then possibly the password or user name of your real account is wrong. It's the only difference between the two accounts.

I wish I could say (saving face) it was that easy, but it was that easy.

I know if had failed with the correct password usually on the Downloading USD/CAD failed.. which it repeated quite a few times before it gave up. It would then either go online and crash later or just crash.

But this time.. Thank you! it was just the password.

I made MetaTrader 4 Demo Account from http://www.fxcm.co.uk/free-forex-accounts.jsp and got an error.

It says that wrong user name or password when I enter the right one.
Even It was freezed.

Zorro and MetaTrader 4 are two different programs and don't have the same account.

How to open a demo account with a broker is described in the Zorro manual - look under "What's new".

By the way, default setting of Zorro 1.03 don't test full 2012 year.
I got the result only until 11/01/12.
Is it because I don't have the recent price files?

Yes. The test can not go beyond the end of the price files.

I am missing the data between 2013 and 11/2012.
How can I download the missing prices?
Zorro seems to only download the recent ones.

We'll upload them next week. If you don't want to wait, the free Zorro version can normally not generate historic price files, but you can do that with a trick:

Delete the .bar files ending with "2012" in the history folder. Zorro will notice that the files are missing when you start a test the next time, and will propose to download them from the server. Click "Yes" and the 2012 prices are downloaded. It will take a couple hours for all assets. You'll need an FXCM account for this.

I just did live demo testing and downloaded the latest prices from 1 min TF.
But to compare the logs of demo trading with backtest logs and confirm they are both same, When I back test from 2013 for that TF, the result doesn't show that downloaded ones.

Why is this happening?
