Zorro and IB Gateway

Zorro newbie. Love the concept. Getting started is INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT:

1. Want to keep it very simple and use Zorro and IB Gateway to do automatic trading. I'm a US resident.
2. Opened an account with IB
3. Downloaded latest version of IB Gateway
4. Ran IB Gateway from my desktop
5. IB Gateway pops up a Login screen
6. Enter my log-in credentials from step #2 above
7. Get message, "Settings will not be downloaded from the server because the feature has been temporarily disabled."
8. Cannot log-in at this point.
9. Where do I go from here? I haven't got a clue.

It works for me. Maybe try logging in again?

If you're still having problems, you can try Interactive Broker's technical support and/or Zorro support, depending on the problem.

Tried logging in over and over again. Wondering if it's the version of IB Gateway I'm using. I'm using release 972. What release are you using?

You have to have a PRO IB account for it to work.
You probably just have IBKR lite or something.

Just go to settings and upgrade to pro.
Gateway should work after about 24hours

Hi cwford, I use the same version of IB gateway as you, 972. It works fine.
Just keep in mind, for the live IB Account plugin, you need Zorro S or to buy the "all account" Zorro plugin.
