I see this is penciled in for a future Zorro version.
Will this enable Zorro to also trade stocks as InteractiveBrokers have these available to trade?

Yes, it is for all assets available through IB.

jcl, along with this addition will Zorro's data structures get a refresh to more directly/natively/whatever support the additional fields that become relevant and downloadable from the brokers (f.i. volume)? I know this has been brought up before with the response that scripts can be coded as needed for this; but hoping for something more "built-in".

The data structures will remain the same, but there will be a new function for accessing historic data without changing the asset.
