Zorro on Linux with Wine - 03/15/15 18:34

Hello.

I have Zorro working with Linux using Wine to backtest, etc., but not trading (I'm using an FXCM account). It simply says that it can't connect, and then crashes. Using the -diag switch at launch results in the following:

Quote:
Zorro S 1.28.3 Trading Automaton
Made with Gamestudio by oP group 2014
Registered to: <user>
Monte Carlo plugin mounted
Diagnostics mode

xxx

I have achieved trading by using MT4 in the middle (the MT4 plugin), but I wondered if anyone had discovered what might be missing in Wine preventing Zorro's native FXCM api from connecting for trading?

Thanks.

I suppose that the FXCM API does not work under Wine. Probably Wine does not emulate the Windows network functions 100% correctly.
