Optimization Not working

I am wanting to know if anyone has had a problem using the optimization function?

What I am currently seeing, is the first cycle of optimize going through. If I am optimizing a series of 10 points, optimize yields zero for 2-10. I can't think of why optimize wouldn't work. There is very little data on the topic.

As if it's such a simple function, that it just works or it doesn't. Any help would be amazing

Have to be honest in saying, I don't really want to post the script. Given that would be the fastest way to get help. What I would prefer is being pointed in a direction or hearing that a similar scenario has been seen.
