Zorro.ini - StrategyFolder

Hi,
in v.2257 setting the StrategyFolder parameter in the zorro.ini to a different location does not work.

StrategyFolder = "..\mpStrategy"

My understanding is that after restarting Zorro I shroud see in the drop down Script menu the listing of the scripts contained in the ..\mpStrategy directory. Am I correct?

You should make the change in ZorroFix.ini
Try if it works then.

Copy Zorro.ini to ZorroFix.ini and make the changes there, after restart it should work (did for me with History folder).

HistoryFolder setting works correctly to me too.
StrategyFolder = "..\" doesn't in both zorro.ini and ZorroFix.ini

I don't think that you should have strategies in a folder "..\". That would be normally your main user directory.

yes it was just an example. It does not work with any path I tried: absolute "c:\......" or relative "..\......"

Works for me. I loaded a strategy folder, even outside of the Zorro folder, and relative to the Zorro folder, by pointing to it from Zorro.ini.

Can you please share your zorro version and zorro ini file for testing purpose?

StrategyFolder = "Test" // folder with the strategy files

In Test dir created in the same Zorro dir. Created a .c file just to be sure

it does not work strategy folder is still the standard its not switched to the new path

I showed you my screenshot. I’m not sure what you’re doing differently.

A bug report is considered successful if the bug is repeatable.

Tested on 2 different PC. Same behavior it does not work. I am doing something wrong or I can reproduce the bug.
Your screenshot does not mean anything. It proves only that your strategy folder is almost empty. Please share your Zorro.ini

It was in the zip file that I attached alongside my screenshot. Did you download it and unzip it?

Perhaps your ZorroFix.ini file is overriding your Zorro.ini file? Better yet, perhaps it's better to only set the settings in the ZorroFix.ini file.

Ok, I did not see the zip file... I discovered something new
1) Copy the installation Zorro dir (all files) in a new directory
2) restart the pc
test it in the original directory it works, test in the copied directory it does not work. I guess that something is wrong.
In the same test procedure the Historydir works correctly
