DominantPeriod / DominantPhase

DominantPeriod / DominantPhase - 09/13/22 10:14

Hi there,

I am looking for some help to understand two things re DominantPeriod/DominantPhase:

- Both have a parameter, "int Period", which is the "the bar period of maximum cycle sensibility". What does that mean? i.e. the maximum cycle that can be measured with a reasonable accuracy or something else?
- I assume the caluclation is done over the lookback period. Does the lookback length affect the calculations?

Thaks,

Yes, it's the maximum cycle that can be accurately measured. And the lookback should be > 100.

Is source code available for DominantPeriod/DominantPhase functions?

I am looking for the same. C code is fine. I can convert it to Python

If you look at the function list, you can see which are open source, and which are not:
https://zorro-project.com/manual/en/funclist.htm

These are not.
