Leap Motion - 05/24/12 11:37

Hi Conitec,

I came across this product for another project, which is similar to the Microsoft Kinect solution but with a different approach:

They're offering SDK support for Developers, maybe this could be something to distinguish from the competitors.

love it, they played hl2 with it and it looks really awesome to play with leap grin
cool technology, looks better than other motion capture systems and it's a low-cost solution

Found this several days ago, too.

BUT: first show me some independend footage(i.e. review) and then decide.
This is a marketing video and we all know that marketing knows how to hide flaws/problems. If this really works as good as presented i just say:

SHUT THE FUCK UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

70€ isnt much compared to the possibilities of this tool.

Look at 1:19 of the first video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kpi6aTv5o68.
Is it as accurate as one might need it for drawing?
I would prefer it over my wacom, because I like to see the line right at my pencil...

RealSerious3D you first video is not independend. Independedn means: Nobody from the company is involved somehow. Press review etc.

Yes, it looks accurate enough, but you would be missing pressure sensitivity when drawing on a surface (such as a pad of paper). But, even so ...
