Gold & silver panic

Gold & silver panic - 04/15/13 09:55

Do you remember the rather primitive metal system from the 5-minute video on the Zorro features page? If you started it with gold and silver last week, this would be your reward today morning: laugh

Since I took the screenshot the profit went further up to EUR 3600. You might notice that the Panic slider is at 50% - this is one of the rare cases when the Panic slider makes sense for locking in unusual profits.

Agreed! (*drool* :))

Were you running Z1 & Z2 too? Curious how they performed live during the same window...

We're running several old and new Z1/Z2 variants here, but they did not catch that trade. Our new Z3 system caught it, and the simple system from the video.

Is Z3 still available for testing on Demo accounts?

Will there be a Z3nfa ?

Re: Gold & silver panic - 06/14/13 10:25

Yes, there will be a Z3 NFA mode, but it will then not trade metals, only currencies.

Hmmm... From an education perspective (oops - does that mean this is in the wrong forum section?! :)), is there an interesting conversation to be had re. why they (esp. Z2) didn't catch it? Or is that a part of the upcoming Z3 workshop? laugh

Re: Gold & silver panic - 06/18/13 12:05

Z1 and Z2 didn't catch it because they are designed to look for more regular inefficiencies that affect the curve spectrum. They are not able to find singular events, although those are sometimes the most profitable.
