I know that everyone slanders world leaders and celebrities, but how about people you know ,school mates, fellow employees, members of the same neighborhood. Dont worry, noone can see how you voted, please tell the truth. Thanks for participating.(Just dont vote on the second one if you try not to EVER talk behind someones back.)

I thought it was redundant being an option for the first question, you could just not vote on the second one...

For the conformist poll i would recommend adding an option to maybe defend them.
Just my opinion though laugh

I couldn't really care less. If people feel like talking bad about me then so be it. There's usually no effective way of stopping or countering bad rumors anyways. So why bother trying?

If you go the eye for an eye route, usually it'll only make sure bad rumors will be spread longer.

Interesting poll questions even though I've missed the part that said 'don't vote if..'.

I dont know I just had a situation here where one person told someone else that I got overly angry during a class discussion, and it was true that I got angry, but not like swearing or yelling, I very clearly made a case and the other guy got offended. So then people talked about it around campus and they blew it out of proportion.

So I made this poll because I wanted to see how other people approach the problem.

You are right, there is no way to stop it, but it makes me feel bad that people would just make and listen to rumors and gossip without evidence.

I see, yeah, things like that are always annoying, but best thing to do is just feel sorry for the guy instead.

You know, things like that instantly tend to stop when you act nice to the guy even though you know he talked bad about you. As long as people notice that, the rumor of your (blown out of proportion) outburst will be less convincing to others if they see you can get along fine and hold no grudge against him.

I do understand the annoyance though, I don't like it either when people talk bad about me. In fact, I'm encountering some of that at the moment too. But hey that's life. The moment you achieve something others can't or you do something slightly wrong or different, people always take notice and react... smile
