Another age poll

Yes, another age poll. To my knowledge one hasn't been done in a while. Forum search doesn't go very far back in Morbius, so I can't be certain. If one has been done quite recently, so much so that this is redundant, point me there and close this thread please

As we get new members, and we forget each other's ages, and it's hard to tell if some of the relatively newer people are acting their age or just being immature , I reckon it's time for another age poll.

This one's a bit different. For the first one, it's your current age (today, even if your birthday is tomorrow, it's your age today).

The second one is the age you were when you first joined these forums or first started using 3DGS (whichever came first).

Also, so we can put an age to a name, put the same info here if you're comfortable with that

For example:
I'm 19, and I started with 3DGS A5 Standard when I was 13.

BTW: The age groups are not evenly distributed, but as a couple of years difference means more in teenage years (when it comes to maturity, or the education you expect from them), I think the poll needs higher resolution down there.

EDIT: I like the idea of putting real names in here as well: I'm Julian Smart, but most people know me as "Jibb".

Sebastian Holzapfel, 14. started with Lite-c as soon as it had come out. i was either 12 or 13 then.. people call me 'seb'

Michael Schwarz, 18. Started with 3DGS when I was 9-10 with A4 Standard.

The times when WED was still a good tool!

Well, the reason why I'm surprised is (no offense) because sometimes you make bad English errors (e.g. "it willn't"). But I never thought you were 11/12 (1997) because your English is too good for that age. So I thought you must be something around my own age (or maybe a bit younger).
Hmm maybe it's hard to learn English if your native language is Arabic (you even have to learn a new alphabet).
(I hope you don't feel offended.)

I don't even study for English exams, because English classes in the country are too weak. I just learn with time (And i learn by my dad often, because he studied in Kuwait.)

I registered on site at the end of 2006 but really started to work with GS in 2007 when I finished 3D modeling course. I learned programming 3 years ago (C++) and wanted to make the game with Borland Later I made a small game with Game Maker 6 and realized that I need to learn how to model if I want to make a real ql game.

I must say that I never seen age polls for GS till now and that I'm totally surprised. I never realized how old I am ...compared to GS community No wonder no one heard of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

because your at the begginning, most of us started around there, but it would be baddddd if alllll of us were just starting still The majority of forum users have been using it for a while now.

This poll is really interessting. Seems like a lot of people grew up with gamestudio and there are - at least in this poll - only a few newcomers.

I start with programming with the basic Language at the good old C64 and the Atari Computer.... But after that i make a break until before 3 Years i start with 3DGS.

Started on my 17th birthday with A3.

Before I worked with C16/C64 Basic and Visual Basic. And I did extensive level editing with Dmapedit and Build.

Gerry Gerrow, 49 years old. I've only been using 3DGS for the last year to fill in some time. Previous to A7, I spent a couple of years building levels for Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory. The first game I every created was a downhill skiing game using Basic characters on a Tandy MC-10 twenty-five years ago. For the last twenty years I've been managing a development team, designing, documenting, supporting, and programming business apps.
