What is your speed?

that´s fast - but mine can´t be right, because when I download something I download only with 65 kb/s... what is the problem can anybody tell me ?

Not really - because when I donload somthing - i tried gimp 2.6.6 - i only have 65 kb/s

And i have only 50 Kb/s .

Doesen´t 0.9 mb/s mean 900 kb/s , because 1mb == 1000 kb ?!?

i think you mix up kilobit with kilobyte.

it would be more interesting if everyone told how much the connection costs per month and if you have a download limit.

i would be happy with 1mbit too for 10€/month but i think 20€/month is the cheapest connection you can get in austria.


the Mb/s means megabit/s not megabyte/s. 1 megabit = 1000 kilobit = 125 kilobyte

a lower case b usually means bit and an upper case B usually means byte.

My internet is damn expensive.

probably you have to share the bandwidth with other skydsl users and at night less users are online?

Do yourself a favor and sack your provider... 77€ is crazy for what you're getting. I pay about 30 bucks for 20mb/s (no download limit).

This is the third test. At the first one, i have 17,39 download at a ping of 15ms.

I'm connected from my home directly to FUNET (Finnish University NETwork), I have 100Mb/100Mb connection without constraints or extra cost

I used to have that too, it's probably a T1 or better connection, which is very nice!! I used to pay only 10 bucks for it too, which was crazy.

But I moved recently, so now I'm down to 20Mbs paying much more.

the thing that sucks most here, is the PING....

even to servers IN my same country I often get 120+ ms of ping.
